PARENT TESTIMONIAL

I am prior military, and have nine children. I have had more than my share of dealings with and finding new day care for my children. I wanted to write to you and tell you how extremely happy we are to have found Mini-Skool for our children. The office staff and the childcare personnel have always been extremely helpful no matter what our issue has been. They are always so understanding and willing to work with us to provide the best environment for our children at all times. Even when our kids have had issues that all parents know happen their handling of the situation has always made us fell very confident that our children are extremely well taken care of. We have several special needs children that require extra time from the childcare personnel and always not only have they been able to provide that extra time, they have also taken the time to write down anything that they thought was important enough for us to be told. Their documentation of events we have used to help us explain issues to our Doctors and other professionals that we take our children to.

We want to thank them all for all they do for us and our children

Mini-Skool Early Learning Centers greatly values education and places a high priority on developing a well-rounded, hands-on curriculum that meets the needs of each individual child. Our Creative Kaleidoscope of Learning curriculum is based upon a monthly theme that incorporates Zoo-Phonics®, Math Their Way, Science, Literacy skills, Social Studies, Fine Motor Skills/Handwriting, Cooking, Art, Music and Movement Activities. A daily schedule is followed and includes our exclusive Fun With Fitness program and small and large group instruction throughout the day.

We strongly believe that art is a process, not a product. Children are exposed to art in all different types of medium and are encouraged to express themselves through their work as well as through Music, Movement and Drama. Circle Time is a great opportunity for the children to talk and share, even to do a little dance.

Mini-Skool Early Learning Centers recognizes the importance of building self-esteem at a very young age. We encourage a positive sense of self by using praise, encouraging independence and building on their skills. Beginning at the current skill level, we offer the children new challenges in which they can be successful. Our Character Building curriculum supports positive interactions and important social skills such as honesty, courage and responsibility.  Manners are also encouraged in the classroom throughout the day. Children are nurtured in a warm and caring environment.

Our multi-cultural program is a key component of our curriculum. Studying other countries and cultures is a part of our monthly curriculum. Pictures, posters and books are displayed throughout the classrooms. Circle time discussions are enhanced with hands-on art, games and cooking activities. Children participate in weekly Spanish language classes, with Spanish integrated throughout the day.

Science is taught throughout the week, both inside and outside the classroom.  We encourage the children to become aware of the world around them, how things work, and to develop critical thinking skills. Children are challenged to analyze and evaluate interactive experiments in the classroom to foster a love of science and nature.

We invite you to take a look at the expanded curriculum pages listed in the blue area above or in the menu under Curriculum.
