Cooper Point Preschool and Child Care

As parents ourselves, we understand that choosing the best educational child care for your child is one of the hardest decisions you have to make. By providing an environment for your child where they can grow and thrive, we are confident that Mini-Skool in Olympia, WA is the best preschool you can choose.

At Mini-Skool we integrate the two most important elements in any child care or preschool to give your child a fun and educational experience – amazing teachers and a contemporary curriculum.  Combined, the value our preschool offers is unparalleled.  We extend our school’s value by including nutritious meals and enrichment classes such as Spanish, Sports, and Technology without additional fees.

To give you a better idea about all that our school has to offer we are excited to introduce you to Wendy Hrvatin, our Preschool Director at Mini-Skool in Olympia, Washington.

Welcome to Cooper Point Mini-Skool, Olympia!

We are proud to offer our families a purpose-built, state of the art center, situated in a quiet neighborhood in West Olympia.  I am proud to be the Center Director here.  We are a small, garden themed center, offering the feeling of home.  The relationships between the children, staff, and parents are exemplary.  Our staff works together to maintain a family-like feel of love and compassion throughout the classrooms.

We specialize in caring for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Our curriculum is rich with hands-on learning experiences. The babies in our “Ladybug” infant room are provided with exceptional stimulation ranging from song and dance, art exploration, cuddling and rocking, as well as a variety of tummy time activities. The toddler “Butterflies” enjoy an open structured classroom allowing each child to explore and learn about the world. They enjoy daily art and sensory, singing and story time, and especially outside time. The two year old “Caterpillars” begin to experience successes in potty training.  They, too, enjoy daily art and sensory, music and story time, outside time, and structured play.  The preschool “Busy Bees” love learning through art. They have a “Letter of the Week” focus which allows them to practice recognition, sounds, and writing of individual letters. Their structured day allows development of independence, creativity, and imagination, while providing a consistent schedule to promote a safe and secure atmosphere.

All of our children enjoy outside play everyday. Our large playgrounds are divided into age specific areas with carefully selected equipment for infants, toddlers, and preschool children. The equipment and other planned outside activities maximize each child’s physical and large motor development.

Another feature which makes our center extremely convenient is our location.  For those commuters, we are just 2 miles from the 101 and I-5 interchanges. We are also just 2 miles from Downtown Olympia.  For those more local travelers, the city bus stop is across the street.  We are also centrally located between South Puget Sound Community College and Evergreen State College.

Sincerely,

Wendy Hrvatin
Center Director
