At Sleater-Kinney, we are proud to offer families quality child care in a loving, nurturing environment where our focus is on providing every child a positive learning experience through structured curriculum and play. Our staff works together to maintain a loving, compassionate, family-like atmosphere.

We specialize in caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children. Our curriculum provides lots of hands-on learning experiences.

We incorporate an “Insect” theme in all our classrooms. Infants, in the “Lady Bug” room are cared for and loved by highly skilled teachers who provide the infants with stimulation through cuddling, rocking, story time, songs, art exploration and lots of tummy time activities. The Toddlers in the “Wiggly Worm” and the “Butterfly” rooms are given the freedom to explore their environment and be creative with daily art projects and sensory activities. They enjoy story time, music and especially their outside time. The Young Preschoolers in the “Busy Bee” room enjoy a structured schedule. During circle time the children learn “Letter of the Week”, ABC’s and 123′s, colors, songs, exercise and story time. Potty training successes will happen while in this room as well! The Preschoolers in the “Dragonfly” room continue with a more structured routine that allows them to develop creativity, imagination and independence in a safe environment. The Kindergarten children in the “Cricket” room are learning phonics and handwriting, and more advanced art projects. They work on their social skills and how to interact with others to help them at Kindergarten. Our children in the School-age room play games, read independently, work on their homework and use their imaginations to create art. All classrooms offer an enriching environment in which children can grow and be confident and successful.

Our beautiful security-controlled access center also has an outdoor playground divided into age-appropriate areas, where children enjoy playing on safe equipment.
