We Help Build Your Child’s Early Foundational Skills

Did you know that 82% of the brain develops during the first few years of your child’s life?[1] Our professionals at Mini-Skool don’t take this fact lightly. In our infant day care program, we approach each child uniquely to support his or her cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical growth, providing mindful exposure to language and conversation, nutrition, motor skills, and the attention he or she needs to form healthy emotional bonds.

We Use Holistic, Research-Based Approaches To Stimulate Your Infant

Attentive Talking: Your little one’s babbles are not only cute — they matter! At this stage, babies begin recognizing words, sounds, and facial expressions to form the first foundations for verbal and non-verbal communication. With this in mind, our professional caregivers encourage back-and-forth exchanges of language and body cues, paying close attention to their reactions and progress. These initial interactions play a vital role in your child’s brain development.

Story Time: Story time is the best time! Reading to children not only stimulates early literacy development, it boosts their awareness, listening abilities, and memory span. Our fun caregivers read to your baby every day.

Rhyming & Singing: Studies show that music strengths cognitive functions and boosts children’s mood. Our caregivers love singing to your baby, making him or her feel warm and loved.

Rocking & Cuddling: Infants this age need nurturing physical contact with steady emotional support for healthy socio-emotional development. Our warm, loving caregivers rock and cuddle your baby throughout the day.

Baby Signs®: Our caretakers introduce all infants to Baby Signs®, our original sign language program for hearing babies. Without using any words, your baby learns to communicate important messages using simple signs, like being hungry, tired, hot or cold. This reduces their frustration with communication while boosting emotional development.

Positive Play: Under close supervision, your child is provided with carefully selected toys for not only their amusement but for developing motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and visual tracking.

Safe, Stimulating Nursery: Without a doubt, the safety of your child is our top priority. Mini-Skool’s nursery is meticulously designed to meet every applicable state and federal safety regulation in addition to those imposed by toy and equipment manufacturers. With that in mind, our play areas are spacious for exploration and movement, with drawers full of books and toys that develop infants’ burgeoning motor skills and awareness.

We Collaborate With You Keeping You & Your Child’s Best Interest In Mind

At Mini-Skool, we understand your instinctual desire to be as involved as possible with your child. That’s why we work with you to develop a customized daily schedule for your infant and keep you up-to-date regarding all aspects of his or her day. Every day, our caregivers write up a detailed written report on your baby’s feeding, sleeping, diapering, and learned activities. You can often expect candid photos of your little one’s special moments in your email inbox. And of course, our doors are always open for you to drop by for a visit or give a ring to your caregiver during the day!
